This African coffee variety is a blend from various coffee producers from across the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions. These groups come from districts in Kilimanjaro such as Hai and Moshi Rural district, in addition the coffee was also sourced from Meru district close to the town of Arusha. The producers of this coffee have farms between 1-2 hectares in size and intercrop with bananas and avocado. The coffee is fully washed and processed on the farms using the locally made hand pulpers, buckets for fermentation and dried on raised beds. Tasting notes: You can expect tasting notes of deep and rich in flavors with lots of spices and herbs in this cup, tastes that linger on your palate. Fruity overtones of raspberry, blueberry, and orange with dark chocolate that nicely balance the florals and spice. Info note: Peaberry beans are small, round coffee beans with a cleft in the middle; they have a richer flavor than their oval- shaped counterparts, often rendering a livelier cup with a full body and distinguished aroma. Peaberry coffee is rare; only 10% of all coffee develops with this characteristic. As a result, peaberry coffee beans must be hand-sorted from the rest.
